Frequently asked questions
What happens if I pick different pictures?
Both pictures stay visible briefly, then turn back. You cannot flip another card while they are being checked.
How are moves counted?
Checking two cards counts as one move. Clicking an already matched card or the same card twice does not add a move.
Are there high scores or friend rankings?
Only moves and time for the current session are shown. There is no public leaderboard or account history.
Practice remembering positions
Example: begin with four pairs and check two cards at a time from the upper left. If they differ, remember both positions before choosing the next two. Matched cards stay revealed and need no further clicks.
Four pairs use eight cards; six pairs use twelve. Each check of two cards counts as one move, so a game without mistakes takes at least four or six moves respectively. These are rule-based minimums, not reported player records.
Challenge a friend to the same layout
Copy the same-layout challenge link and send it to a friend. It includes a layout identifier and the current game’s difficulty. Your friend presses Start to play that layout. Starting another game on the same page lets you practice the same board again.
A layout-only link contains no name or score. After completing a board, “Compare same-condition friend records” includes your layout, deck, pair count, clock mode, moves, elapsed time and attempt number in a link. A friend who finishes under the same conditions can compare both records. These device-reported records are not verified tournament results or a public leaderboard.
What the timer and results mean
Time runs from starting the game until the final match. Time spent in another tab or app counts too; there is no pause function. The brief wait while unmatched cards close is included.
The result PNG is 1000 × 1100px and includes pair count and moves. Hidden-clock mode also hides time in the result and PNG. Attempts are kept on this device; completed records are kept only after you enable them, up to 100. Reloading clears the current game, while previously saved records remain. You can clear device records. Nothing is uploaded to a leaderboard.
If a control or download fails
If a card does not respond, check that the game has started, that it is not already matched and that an unmatched pair is not still closing. With a keyboard, use Tab to move between cards and Enter or Space to reveal one.
A result card is available only after all pairs are found. If saving fails, retry from the result screen and check browser downloads. Report a problem with the difficulty, browser and step where play stopped.
